Along with many other automakers, Kia Motors is heading to the New York Auto Show to display their latest models. Three Kia cars will be debuted in the Big Apple: 2014 versions of the Soul, Forte Koup, and the Kia Optima.
2014 Kia Soul: While there is little known right now about the Kia Soul, you can likely expect a base 1.6-liter 4-cylinder with 138 horsepower, and a 2.0-liter giving out a possible 173 hp. Last year the Soul was Kia’s #2 selling vehicle (2nd only to the Optima) so you can expect Kia to really emphasize the new model. However, because the Soul is so popular, a drastic change to the existing design is unlikely.
2014 Kia Forte Koup: With the Forte Koup, it will likely be very similar to the current options, especially under the hood. The current 148 hp 1.8-liter and a 173 hp 2.0-liter are expected, but new features will include Kia’s Flex Steer system with options for Normal, Comfort and Sport modes.
2014 Kia Optima: This car was last redesigned in 2010. This is the one with probably the least information available right now, and all we really can tell you is that Kia is working on a subtle facelift to enhance the car’s looks. Just like the Soul, because the Optimas are so popular, major changes are unlikely.
Soon these incredible vehicles are revealed to the public. After we get a glimpse of them in New York, it’s only a matter of time before they arrive on the streets of Cedar Rapids and Iowa City.
